Lady Wolverines eye a state championship

[December 16, 2024]   The West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines 8th grade basketball team is headed towards the state championship game.

The ladies swept past Champaign St. Matthew 32-19 on Saturday afternoon and then defeated Nauvoo-Colusa 32-25 on Saturday night in the IESA Class 1A State Tournament at Clinton Junior High School. 

Sage Gilbert led the Lady Wolverines with 14 points in the win against Champaign St. Matthew.

Grace Bivin led the Lady Wolverines with 13 points in the win against Nauvoo-Colusa.

WLB (30-0) will play Carrollton St. John (21-5) on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. for the state championship. 

The tournament is hosted by Clinton Junior High School.
