[December 18, 2024]  ATLANTA - Sue E. Long, 86, of Atlanta passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Service:  A Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Obituary

Sue E. Long, 86, of Atlanta passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Per Sue's request , no visitation or funeral will be held. A Private family burial will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Sue E. Thompson was born on December 19, 1937 in Bloomington the daughter of Stewart and Leafy Zolinda Lown Thompson. She was united in marriage to Harold D. Long on July 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2020.

Surviving are her children: Jeff (Donna) Long, Lisa Stuckey. Three grandchildren: Kelsey (John) Pinsonnault, Cody Long and Nicole (Logan) Jamison. Three great grandchildren: Wyatt and Norah Jamison, Millie Pinsonnault.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters: Betty Ward, Marian DeVine, Eleanor Ransdall. Three brothers: Joe Thompson, Gene Thompson, Richard Thompson, son-in-law : John Stuckey.

Sue graduated from the Mclean High School and later worked at the Olympia High School cafeteria.

She enjoyed camping and her poodles. She was a loving Nana and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
