Obituary
Connie L. Parker, 81, of Lincoln,
passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at
Copper Creek Cottages.
Connie was born July 18, 1943, in Lincoln, IL, the
daughter of Noel and Wilma (Durst) Suedmeier. She
married Jeff Parker on June 9, 1990, in Lincoln, IL.
He survives.
Connie is also survived by her daughter, Lisa (Nick)
Rohlfs; grandchildren, Sydni (Daniel) Bacon, Jarrett
(Anna Coleman) Rohlfs, and Brayden Rohlfs; and one
great-grandson, Warner Dean Rohlfs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant
daughter, Jodi Ann Bevard; and her beloved miniature
Schnauzer, Baron Von Maxwell the 32nd “Maxwell”.
Connie worked for Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital
for 44 years. In that time, she worked in Admitting,
and as a Switchboard Operator; then she moved into
their Insurance Department; then transferred into
the role of a Physical Therapy Technician; and ended
her hospital career as the Sterile Processing
Coordinator. |
Connie was a kind soul who never knew
a stranger, and always had a smile. She enjoyed her
grandchildren’s activities and would do her best to
attend every event. She was always ready for an
adventure. After soul searching for many years she
finally found Jeff, the love of her life and they
had 34 wonderful years of marriage together.
Funeral Services for Connie will be held at 10:00 am
on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Lincoln Christian
Church. Visitation will take place the night prior
on Friday, January 10, 2025, also at the church from
4:00-7:00 pm. Memorials may be made in Connie’s name
to Lincoln Christian Church or to the donor’s
choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
