There were also other activities for visitors and in
general just a great chance to get out of the house, spend time with
friends, and be comfortable in a cozy setting while doing all this.
If you are a Senior citizen residing in Logan
County and are not a member of the Oasis, you might want to re-think
that. It is a great way to stay in touch with old friends and make
new ones. There are activities throughout the month, and special
programs geared to the senior population.

In addition, if you like to shop, don’t forget to
stop in at the Oasis and check out their gift shop. Items there are
very reasonably priced, and the money raised supports the Oasis and
all the good work it does in our community.
In addition to the gift shop, the oasis has two fundraisers going on
right now. The first one is a take home dinner for Valentine’s Day.
The main dish is Tecia’s famous Lasagna. The order includes an
eight-by-eight pan of delicious pasta, enough for four total
servings, and garlic bread as an accompaniment.
Orders must be placed by February seventh and the dinners may be
picked up at the Oasis on February 13th between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The Valentine’s Day Dinner is a fundraiser with all the proceeds of
the meal going to the Oasis.
The second fundraiser is ongoing now until March
28th. Raffle tickets are on sale now at the Oasis for a sweet little
ride for the child or grandchild in your life. The little
battery-operated child-size ATV is definitely pretty in pink with
the oasis inscribed in the racing stripe of silvery flowers on the
hood. The same “signature” is also on the “bed” of the ATV.
The Oasis Senior Center is located at 2810 Woodlawn Road in Lincoln.
To learn more about the fundraisers or membership, visit the Oasis
or call 217-732-6132.
