Service:  A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Elizabeth Louise Schneider Wyles passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Elizabeth was born in Lincoln, at St. Clara’s Hospital on August 8, 1926, to Charles and Mabel (Etterlein) Schneider. She married William B. Wyles by the Rev. Earl Hargrove at the First Christian Church in Lincoln, on July 3, 1947. They were married 66 years when Bill passed away.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Donna) Wyles of Atlanta; one daughter, Lisa Evelsizer of Lincoln; three grandsons, Jeffrey Wyles of Lincoln, Jason (Tonia) Wyles of Atlanta, and Jeremy Wyles of San Antonio, TX; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Evelsizer of Bloomington; two great-grandsons, Ryan Wyles of Atlanta, and Brayden Evelsizer of El Paso; one great-granddaughter, Kynlee Collier of Bloomington; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Schneider; four nieces; and two nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Claribel Kingsley; brother, William Schneider; and one nephew, Joseph Schneider. She was the last of her immediate family.

Elizabeth graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1944 and worked at State Farm Insurance Co. in Bloomington immediately following graduation. She worked at Lehn and Fink Production Corp and a couple other offices over the years. Elizabeth did the book work for her husband’s three businesses, Givan and Wyles Masonry, Ace Hardware, Logan County Rental Center.

She and Bill wintered in Port Aransas, TX, on the Gulf of Mexico for twelve winters and enjoyed it immensely. Elizabeth was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church. She belonged to Rebekah Lodge #9 since May of 1953, the Past Noble Grand Club, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Oasis. Elizabeth enjoyed her card clubs for many years.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Elizabeth requested she be cremated, and her ashes be buried with her husband, Bill Wyles.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
