LCHS senior Lacy Buss to sing National Anthem at IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals

Lincoln Community High School is proud to announce that senior Lacy Buss has been selected to perform the National Anthem during the IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals at CEFCU Arena on the campus of Illinois State University. Lacy will perform during session three on Thursday, February 29th and session six on Friday, March 1st.

Lacy is a member of the Lincoln Community High School choir. Lacy qualified for the Illinois Music Education Association state-level honors and all-state choir in 2023 and 2024.

Lacy was chosen from thousands of students throughout the state for this honor. The audition process included an audition score for ILMEA state, along with two subsequent auditions. Eight students are selected to perform across all sessions at the IHSA Girls and Boys Basketball State Finals.

Lacy joins Austin Garriott (Class of 2019) as the only two LCHS students invited to perform at IHSA State Series events.
