First Quarter
In just under six minutes Lincoln poured in 25 points in the first
quarter. With Becca Heitzig finally hitting a baseline jumper at the
5:54 mark the Lady Railers offense was ignited. Catching fire, the
girls went on a 16-0 run over the Pioneers. Kloe Froebe had 10
points during this run and Heitzig tossed in two more baskets. The
Pioneers finally made a free throw at the 2:41 mark to make the
score 16-1. After Tori Geriets hit a jumper and Froebe made another
layup the lead was 20-1. Froebe would finish her scoring in the
quarter at the free throw line and that would give her 14 points in
the quarter. Taryn Stoltzenburg hit a three to cap off the quarter
and Lincoln led 25-3.
Second Quarter
The second quarter flew by pretty quickly with the Lady Railer
defense continuing to just destroy the Pioneers. Froebe tossed in
five points here and Stoltzenburg also had quick hands and she
contributed six points. The Lincoln lead grew to 36-7 at the half.
Third Quarter
The highlight of the third quarter was U-High reaching double-digits
while Lincoln continued to dominate just going through the motions.
Stoltzenburg also added two more threes in the quarter and Jenna
Bowman lit up the scoring column with her number in it with a three.
After Bowman’s three the Lady Railers had a 48-10 lead. The score at
the end of the quarter would be Lincoln just crushing U-High 51-14.
