A crowded parking lot at Logan Lanes signaled a
successful community event on Sunday afternoon. Co-sponsored by
Lincoln Memorial Hospital’s Community Health Collaborative (CHC),
Crimestoppers, and Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), this
free family bowling event to promote substance-free family fun saw
excellent participation from the community.

Logan Lanes was busy with families enjoying the
afternoon, and even the littlest had a chance to try a hand at
bowling with bumpers and ramps provided by Logan Lanes.

“It’s been a good turn-out,” said Grace Irvin, ROSC
Prevention Coordinator, “No one is waiting, but every lane is full.
We have not had to turn anyone away.”
CHC, ROSC, and Recovery in Action had booths with
information and giveaways, and members of Lincoln’s police force and
Crimestoppers served hotdogs, apple slices, and sandwich cookies.
This was the first free family bowling event since it was paused by
the pandemic, and it seemed like it had been missed.
Molly McCain, CHC Coordinator, summed up the day: “It’s nice to
provide a free event for the community.” The hope is to bring back
family bowling once again as an annual winter event.
