New children’s exhibit opening

The
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will open its latest
exhibit, The Questioneers: Read. Question. Think. PLAY!, with a
ribbon-cutting Friday morning at 9 a.m. The event will take place in
the main plaza of the museum building (212 N. Sixth Street,
Springfield). Journalists are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting
and then tour the exhibit.
The next day, Saturday, Feb. 17, the museum will offer a special
children’s admission price of just $1, along with entertainment by
the StoneLion Puppet Theatre. The $1 admission price for children
will also be offered March 16, April 20 and May 4.
The Questioneers introduces visitors to Ada Twist,
scientist; Rosie Revere, engineer; Iggy Peck, architect; Sofia
Valdez, future prez, and Aaron Slater, illustrator.

Each character’s story highlights
problem-solving, determination, risk-taking, bravery and the
role of caring adults. The final day for this special exhibit
will be May 5.
The exhibit is based on a best-selling series of children’s
books and was developed by the DuPage Children’s Museum.
