Russel Allen Garden Day scheduled for March 23rd

[February 21, 2024]     The University of Illinois Extension Logan County Master Gardeners will host Russel Allen Garden Day on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Oasis Senior Center, 2810 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln. Event will run from 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., with registration from 8 to 8:45 am.

The public is invited for this event that will feature various presentations related to gardening. The day is in honor of Russel Allen who was a Logan County Master Gardener volunteer program.

Keynote presentation will be provided by Lee and Anne Niepagen of Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses and Garden Center in Bloomington. They will present New and Exciting Plants and Trends for The Coming Season.

Session topics include Spring Rose Pruning, Plant Alternatives, Growing Vegetables Isn’t Work- It’s Fun, and Designing a Flower Bed in Your Yard.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged as attendance is limited to 80. There will be a discount applied for those who register prior to March 15th. Tickets will also be sold at the door, first come first served.
