Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe each had a
goal and an assist and Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves to lead the
Florida Panthers to a 4-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on
Thursday night in Las Vegas.
Sam Bennett also scored and Brandon Montour added two assists for
Florida, which scored three times on the power play while extending
its win streak to a season-high six games.
It was the first regular-season win in six tries at T-Mobile Arena
for the Panthers, who closed within two points of first-place Boston
in the Atlantic Division.
Pavel Dorofeyev scored for Vegas, which suffered its sixth loss in
its last seven games. Logan Thompson finished with 32 saves.
Flames 6, Predators 3
Blake Coleman scored in his third straight game and added an assist,
and Calgary beat host Nashville.
Yegor Sharangovich, Connor Zary and Rasmus Andersson each had a goal
and an assist for the Flames, who have won six of their past eight.
Dan Vladar made 29 saves for Calgary, which won the season series
2-1.
Filip Forsberg scored his 19th goal of the season for the Predators,
who had earned points in three straight games (2-0-1). Juuse Saros
stopped 20 of 25 shots over two periods and Kevin Lankinen made 13
saves in the third.
Sabres 6, Canadiens 1
Jeff Skinner had a goal and three assists to help visiting Buffalo
beat Montreal.
Tage Thompson had two goals and one assist, while Casey Mittelstadt,
Jack Quinn and Rasmus Dahlin each had a goal and an assist for the
Sabres. Devon Levi, a Montreal native, made 32 saves in his first
game in his hometown.
Joel Armia scored and Jake Allen made 32 saves for the Canadiens,
who have lost four of their past five games.
Rangers 4, Blackhawks 1
Artemi Panarin collected a goal and an assist, Chris Kreider reached
20 goals for the ninth time in his career, and host New York
defeated Chicago.
Jacob Trouba and Jimmy Vesey also scored, their scores coming 70
seconds apart in the third period, as the Rangers avoided what would
have been consecutive losses for just the second time this season
and improved to 10-1-0 after a loss this season.
Vincent Trocheck collected three assists and made a key defensive
play on Chicago rookie Connor Bedard to set up Panarin's first goal.
Penguins 6, Bruins 5
Sidney Crosby's game-winning power-play goal with 8:41 remaining
capped his three-point effort and lifted visiting Pittsburgh to a
win over Boston.
The Penguins captain scored his third game-winner of the season from
the top of the left circle, following a faceoff win and Erik
Karlsson's pass. Drew O'Connor and Lars Eller each finished with a
goal and an assist, while Kris Letang had three assists to fuel
Pittsburgh's fourth win in five games. Ryan Graves, Jake Guentzel
and Jeff Carter also scored, and Alex Nedeljkovic made 24 saves for
the Penguins.
David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie each had a goal and two assists to
lead Boston, which had won four straight. Brad Marchand scored
twice, Jake DeBrusk also lit the lamp and Charlie McAvoy had two
assists for the Bruins.
Blues 2, Canucks 1
Robert Thomas celebrated his first NHL All-Star Game appointment by
scoring one goal and setting up the other as St. Louis edged
visiting Vancouver.
Colton Parayko also scored and Jordan Binnington made 25 saves for
the Blues, who snapped a two-game losing streak while improving to
6-3 under interim coach Drew Bannister.
Conor Garland scored and Thatcher Demko made 30 saves for the
Canucks, who opened a seven-game road swing by suffering just their
second regulation loss in their last 12 games.
Kraken 4, Senators 1
Joey Daccord made 32 saves and oft-injured Andre Burakovsky scored
his first goal of the season as Seattle defeated visiting Ottawa.

Yanni Gourde, Tomas Tatar and Vince Dunn also
scored for the Kraken, who won their sixth game in a row.
Joonas Korpisalo stopped 24 of 27 shots for the Senators, who
dropped to 0-2-0 on their five-game road swing.
Avalanche 5, Stars 4 (OT)
Nathan MacKinnon capped a two-goal, three-point night by scoring
with 1:20 left in overtime for Colorado's comeback road victory
against Dallas.
Via a two-on-zero rush, MacKinnon kept the puck and beat Dallas'
Scott Wedgewood (29 saves) for his 22nd goal and 64th point this
season. With 1:09 remaining in the game, Colorado tied it via some
net-front chaos as the puck went in off Mikko Rantanen's skate.
The Stars, who lost two straight for the first time since Dec. 4 and
6, took advantage of an Avalanche turnover to open the scoring with
8:03 remaining in the first.
Blue Jackets 3, Flyers 2 (SO)
Damon Severson and Jake Bean each scored one goal in regulation and
Daniil Tarasov stopped all three shots in a shootout as Columbus
rallied to defeat host Philadelphia.
Tarasov made 39 saves through regulation and overtime.
Travis Konecny scored two goals for the Flyers, who have lost four
in a row (0-2-2).
Lightning 4, Wild 1
Darren Raddysh scored his first two goals of the season to lead
Tampa Bay over Minnesota in Saint Paul, Minn.
Victor Hedman and Brandon Hagel also scored for Tampa Bay, which won
for the second time in three games.
Zach Bogosian scored Minnesota's lone goal. The Wild have lost four
consecutive games after winning four straight.
Islanders 5, Coyotes 1
Bo Horvat had two goals and an assist as New York beat Arizona in
Tempe, Ariz.
Mathew Barzal and Noah Dobson each had two assists for New York.
Julien Gauthier, Anders Lee and Mike Reilly scored the Islanders'
other goals.
Nick Schmaltz scored the only goal for the Coyotes, who have lost
two in a row.
Red Wings 4, Kings 3 (SO)
Alex Lyon made 40 saves in regulation and overtime and stopped both
attempts in the shootout to lift visiting Detroit over Los Angeles.
Robby Fabbri scored two goals, Jeff Petry also scored and Lucas
Raymond and Patrick Kane tallied in the shootout for the Red Wings,
who have won two in a row for the first time in a month.
Adrian Kempe supplied two goals, Matt Roy also scored and David
Rittich made 24 saves for the Kings, who have lost a season-worst
four in a row.
Jets 2, Sharks 1
Gabriel Vilardi broke a third-period deadlock and sparked visiting
Winnipeg past struggling San Jose.
Morgan Barron also scored for the Jets, who are riding a four-game
winning streak.
Alexander Barabanov scored for the Sharks, who sit at the bottom of
the league standings and are on a 10-game skid, with all those
defeats in regulation time. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 28 shots in
defeat.
