The
last three months of the year were entrusted to LDN’s Jeff Wyles who
chose his favorite shots from the hundreds of possibilities.
Jeff has a good eye and sees value in photos that some of us miss.
We like his narrative on each picture because in almost every case,
it offers a new perspective as we look upon it once again.

I am always in awe at the amount of hard work put into this event
and the incredible way this community comes together behind good
causes.

Marsha Hurley, who made the quilt, is a family member of mine. It's
neat to see something she made bring so much money at the pink
pumpkin auction.

Every time I saw this Jeep around Lincoln it made me chuckle.

Working at LDN has definitely increased my knowledge and interest in
the community. One of the things I love about Lincoln and Logan
County is how freely people here will give. Seeing pews filled with
food is awesome. It is also a personal reminder that many have
greater struggles than my own.

I have enjoyed Willy Wonka since I was a kid...and that's the mayor!
I just think this is a fun picture.

This is a cute picture for starters. On top of that, it is nice to
children involved in a situation where they can learn the proper
appreciation and respect for our Veterans.

There is a lot of joy in this photo and the tree looks great. At the
same time, it is placed in memory of a loved one. I spend a lot of
time remembering those friends and family who have passed on during
the Holidays so this is s picture I definitely could relate to.

It's just a lot of trophies. I think it's cool. I'm also a little
bit jealous.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful looking place. When I think of
going to a quiet place to think, or pray or just take a
breath...this is the kind of place I imagine.

Downtown looked great this year for Christmas and the holidays. The
courthouse, the trees, the parks...as someone who struggles to get
in the spirit, the downtown decorations made it much easier.
