Obituary

Garron Presswood, 69, of Farmington, MO, formerly of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Garron was born March 27, 1954, in Lincoln, the son of George and Virginia (Rigg) Presswood. He married Judy Crail on August 8, 2006, in Lincoln.

Garron is survived by his children, Brittani Presswood, Stacy Presswood, Amanda Logan, and Shane (Bruce) Presswood; his stepchildren, Tom (Dawn) Musick, John Musick, and Kristin Musick; his seven grandchildren, Logan (Caitlyn), William, Sesleigh, Zoey, Cooper, Jory, and Rainee; one great-granddaughter, Paisleigh; his four step-grandchildren, Hannah, Levi, Madi, and John Thomas; additionally he is survived by many cousins who he saw as his brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved cousin, Mary Lou; and his four-legged companion, Fozzy.

Garron was an avid woodworker who could often be found spending time in his workshop making knives. When he wasn’t in his workshop, he found peace in reading a good book, a library could be built with the number of books he’s read. He was a dog person who has a soft spot for any that came his way. Garron was a registered nurse and a respiratory therapist in Springfield and Lincoln for over 35 years. Garron had a zest for all things in life, but his true love language was food; he loved cooking for his family and creating recipes that will now be handed down to his children & grandchildren.

A memorial service for Garron will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Open Arms in Lincoln, with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. also at the church.

Memorials may be made in Garron’s name to the Humane Society of Logan County.
