Though she has only
been representing our community as the 2023 Miss
Logan County Fair since August, Queen Ellyn Martinez
has been very busy. She has been found at several
community events including the fair, Railsplitter
Festival, a variety of ribbon cuts, appearances at
several fall festivals, helping with the annual Pink
Pumpkin Fundraiser auction and a ride in the 2023
Lincoln Christmas Parade. All the while, she was
also preparing for what many will say is the most
significant event of her career as the Logan County
Fair Queen, the annual Miss Illinois State Fair
Queen Pageant.
Queen Ellyn is participating this weekend in that
pageant, competing against 72 fellow fair queens
with the hopes of winning that crown that will earn
her the title of Miss Illinois State Fair Queen.
