Obituary
Rosemary E. Rose, 95, of McLean,
passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Arc at
Normal.
Services for Rosemary will be held on Monday,
January 8, 2024, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home
in Atlanta. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.,
followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. with Mr.
Tony Billingsley officiating. Burial will be at Oak
View Cemetery in Armington.
Rosemary Britton was born May 13, 1928, in Hopedale,
the daughter of Arthur and Eva Pomprenke Britton.
She was first united in marriage to Charles Eckhardt
in 1950. He preceded Rosemary in death in 1964. She
later married Ralph Rose on May 15, 1971. He
preceded her in death on July 21, 1999.
Rosemary is survived by one daughter, Diana (Duane)
Stappenbeck; four grandchildren: David Eckhardt,
Michael (Queenie Rose Catigan Orbista) Eckhardt,
David Stappenbeck, and Darin (Ashley Crawford)
Stappenbeck; and daughter-in-law, Pam Eckhardt. |
She was preceded in death by two
sons: David Eckhardt and Dean Eckhardt; one brother,
David Britton; and one sister, Joan Tutoky.
Rosemary was a graduate of Hopedale
High School and attended the McLean Christian
Church. She had worked as secretary at the Armington
Grade School for many years, as a clerk at the Shell
Station in McLean, and also at the DIXIE Trucker’s
Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association or Armington Fire & Rescue.

Funeral Home of Atlanta.
