Fleury moves into 2nd in career wins

Marc-Andre Fleury surpassed Patrick Roy for sole possession
of second place in NHL history with 552 career victories as the
Minnesota Wild earned a 5-0 win over the visiting New York Islanders
on Monday evening in Saint Paul, Minn.
Fleury stopped all 21 shots he faced to record his first shutout of
the season and the 74th of his career. With his 552nd win, he now
trails only Martin Brodeur, who is No. 1 all-time with 691
victories.
Joel Eriksson Ek scored two goals to lead Minnesota, which snapped a
four-game winless streak. Mats Zuccarello, Connor Dewar and Marcus
Foligno added one goal apiece.
The Islanders were shut out for the third time this season. They
have lost two games in a row and four of their past five contests.
Bruins 3, Devils 0
Jeremy Swayman pitched a 31-save shutout as Boston beat visiting New
Jersey.
It was Swayman's third shutout this season and the 12th of his
career in only 112 regular-season games. David Pastrnak scored a
goal after helping to set up Charlie Coyle's game-winning tally
early in the second period. Brad Marchand assisted on the first two
goals for Boston, which has points in six straight games.
Nico Daws stopped 33 shots in the Devils' goal.
Golden Knights 4, Predators 1
Mark Stone recorded the first regular-season hat trick of his career
to help lead Vegas past Nashville in Las Vegas.
Jonathan Marchessault also scored a goal, Chandler Stephenson and
Pavel Dorofeyev each added two assists and Logan Thompson made 34
saves for Vegas, which improved to 16-5-2 at home.
Luke Evangelista scored for Nashville. Juuse Saros finished with 25
saves for the Predators, who had a seven-game road point streak
(6-0-1) come to an end.
Canadiens 4, Avalanche 3
Joel Armia scored the tiebreaking goal with 4:10 remaining and
Montreal held on for a win against visiting Colorado.
Cole Caufield had a goal and an assist, Juraj Slafkovsky and Rafael
Harvey-Pinard also scored, Nick Suzuki had two assists and Jake
Allen made 32 saves for the Canadiens, who ended a three-game losing
streak.
Cale Makar had a goal and two assists, Ross Colton and Devon Toews
also scored and Alexandar Georgiev made 30 saves for the Avalanche,
who had won three in a row.
Kings 5, Hurricanes 2
Trevor Moore scored twice and Phillip Danault had the first goal of
Los Angeles' third-period blitz as the visiting Kings snapped an
eight-game winless streak with a win in Raleigh, N.C.
Alex Laferriere and Pierre-Luc Dubois also scored in the third for
the Kings, who had been 0-4-4 during their skid. David Rittich made
30 saves in the win.
The Hurricanes had their eight-game points streak broken despite
goals by Jordan Martinook and Jack Drury. Antti Raanta made 20 saves
on 24 shots but he was pulled with 14:40 remaining and replaced by
Yaniv Perets, who made his NHL debut and stopped one shot.
Sabres 3, Sharks 0
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 28 saves for his second career shutout
while Casey Mittelstadt had a goal with two assists during Buffalo's
home victory against San Jose.
Mittelstadt had a hand in Alex Tuch's second-period score and Jordan
Greenway's empty-netter as the Sabres improved to 2-2-0 on a
five-game homestand. Luukkonen was solid all afternoon for his
second shutout of the season. Luukkonen has stopped 133 of 140 shots
faced during a 4-1-0 starting stretch.

Kaapo Kahkonen made 32 saves for San Jose, which
was shut out for a league-high seventh time this season. The Sharks
have been outscored 64-24 during their current 1-14-0 rut.
Blue Jackets 4, Canucks 3 (SO)
Kirill Marchenko scored the only tally of the shootout as Columbus
earned a comeback win over visiting Vancouver.
Dmitri Voronkov recorded his first career two-goal game, Johnny
Gaudreau had two assists and Yegor Chinakhov scored the Blue
Jackets' other goal. Elvis Merzlikins stopped 27 of 30 shots to earn
his eighth win in 24 starts.
J.T. Miller had a goal and an assist for Vancouver. Elias Pettersson
and Conor Garland also scored for the Canucks. Casey DeSmith had a
strong game in stopping 41 of 44 shots.
Ducks 5, Panthers 4 (OT)
Alex Killorn punched a wrist shot for a game-winner 48 seconds into
overtime as Anaheim prevailed in Sunrise, Fla.
Killorn scored two goals and Frank Vatrano, who spent parts of five
seasons with the Panthers, earned his second assist of the night on
the deciding score. Adam Henrique had a goal and an assist, Jakob
Silfverberg and Troy Terry also scored and John Gibson made 29 saves
for the victory.
Sam Bennett scored twice for the Panthers. All-Star Sam Reinhart
tallied a goal for the seventh consecutive game, Carter Verhaeghe
had a goal and an assist and ex-Duck Anthony Stolarz made 21 saves.
Penguins 3, Kraken 0
Sidney Crosby scored twice and goaltender Tristan Jarry stopped all
22 shots he faced as Pittsburgh snapped visiting Seattle's
franchise-record nine-game winning streak.
Drew O'Connor also scored and Rickard Rakell had two assists for the
Penguins, who had lost two straight games in overtime and were 9-3-3
in their previous 15 games.
Seattle goaltender Joey Daccord, who had wins in eight starts in a
row, made 30 saves. The Kraken also had their 13-game point streak
(11-0-2) halted.
Flyers 4, Blues 2
Owen Tippett scored the game-winning goal with 5:33 left to lift
visiting Philadelphia past St. Louis for the Flyers' fourth straight
win.
Scott Laughton, Ryan Poehling and Joel Farabee also scored and Corey
Hart made 28 saves in the win. Oskar Sundqvist and Brandon Saad
scored for the Blues and Joel Hofer made 38 saves. Blues captain
Brayden Schenn, playing in his 900th NHL game, earned two assists.
After shutting out the Winnipeg Jets Saturday, the tight-checking
Flyers held the Blues scoreless for the first 38:19 of this game.
