Daily News and the Lincoln Public Library are teaming up to promote
and reward reading for adults with the Cozy Up Adult Winter Reading
program.
Registration for the program began on January 9th and already more
than 30 anxious readers have signed up for the program that will
officially run from January 26th to February 25th.
The first ten people that signed up for the program received a
special registration gift that included all the tools one needs in
order to cozy up with a good book on a chilly winter day or evening.
The gift bag included tea lights and a candle holder, a cozy and a
mug for that favorite warm beverage.
Registrants also received a special registration kit that included a
punch card, bookmark, and details about how the reading program will
work.
Readers will collect punches on their card for signing up for the
program, for reading 15 days, completing a mini-quest, and by
reading 30 days and turning in their reading log.

Readers will also be given raffle
tickets for prizes at the end of the program. Additional chances
for the raffle can be earned in a few ways. Earn extra tickets
when you fill out a book review on social media or do a selfie
of you in your cozy reading corner and posting it, by turning in
the filled punch card, or attending a Cozy Reading Afternoon at
the Library on Wednesdays between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
What will be included in the raffle gift basket is
not to be announced just yet, but just as a hint, the basket(s) are
promised to be filled with items that an avid reader will love.
If you’ve not signed up for the Cozy Up Adult Winter Reading Program
just yet, don’t worry there is still time. Registration will be
taken through next week, with the program officially starting on
Friday, January 26th.
