Jones beat Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin
(20 saves) with a wrist shot from just inside the blue line to
win it. It was his first goal of the season.
Blackhawks goalie Petr Mrazek made 26 saves.
Dickinson's goal at 5:10 of the third period put Chicago ahead
3-1 before the Islanders answered 1:28 later on Bo Horvat's goal
from the slot. Brock Nelson hit the post shortly after that, but
the Blackhawks regrouped until Kyle Palmieri tied the score on a
wraparound at 12:50 of the third.
Chicago's Colin Blackwell had an opportunity for the go-ahead
goal in the final two minutes of regulation but sent a shot high
toward an open net.
Palmieri had a goal and an assist for the Islanders, while Noah
Dobson had two assists.
Chicago had the first seven shots on goal of the game, but New
York capitalized on its first shot, putting it past Mrazek at
6:09 of the first period to open the scoring.
Nelson raced toward the left circle, took a pass from Hudson
Fasching and scored his 20th goal of the season.
New York maintained the lead for more than half the game,
suppressing the Blackhawks in the Islanders' bid to salvage the
finale of a four-game road trip that started with multi-goal
losses at Nashville, Minnesota and Winnipeg.
Momentum shifted in Chicago's favor in the last two minutes of
the second period, as Katchouk and Anderson scored 67 seconds
apart to give the Blackhawks the lead.
Anderson put Chicago ahead at 19:14 of the second, finishing a
two-on-one with Blackwell. It was Anderson's first goal of the
season and first point since Dec. 17 after missing 10 games with
a left shoulder injury.
