On Saturday night, after a tough game against Peoria Notre Dame, the Lady Railers had a rare opportunity to get a photo with 6’7” Peoria High School graduate and three-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, Shaun Livingston.

The Saturday game was perhaps the hardest the girls have had to fight for a win this entire season. Notre Dame was a tough, tough opponent, but the ladies were tougher!

Saturday afternoon the Humane Society of Logan County celebrated the completion of an expansion project at the no-kill shelter in Lincoln. The HSLC began last year working to raise funding for a new isolation unit specifically for dogs. Previously dogs and cats had shared a unit which was not the best case scenario. With the new addition, dogs will be in one location and cats in another as they go through their 10-day guarantee.

In celebration the HSLC hosted an open house and ribbon cut.
