[January 16, 2024]  MT. PULASKI -  Lois Maxine Chrisman, 74, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away January 13, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

Visitation: 10 a.m. to Noon on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Obituary

Lois Maxine Chrisman, 74, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away January 13, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home with services following at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Mount Joy Cemetery, rural Atlanta, Illinois.

Lois was born January 20, 1949, in Clinton, IL., the daughter of Marvin Eugene and Edna Ruth (Brewer) Davenport. She married Melvin Eugene Chrisman on September 11, 1967. Lois worked for the telephone company in Lincoln, Mel O Cream and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed Bingo and horses. She loved God and started every morning listening to gospel music.

Survivors include her husband Melvin Chrisman; daughters Melissa (Michael) Schackel and Margaret (Garrett) Eckhardt; grandchildren: Justin, Brandon, Briana, Faith, Zack, and Joey; great grandchildren Alaina and Danielle; siblings: Ruth Vieira, Bobby Davis, and Trisha Fesser; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Brian Chrisman, and her brother Roy Davenport.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
