Memorial
Specialty Care general surgeon Dr. Mohammad Torabi will now perform
procedures at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, expanding surgical options
for patients in the community.
Dr. Torabi will also see patients at Memorial Care in Lincoln for
pre-surgical and follow-up appointments.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Torabi to our community,” said Dolan
Dalpoas, president and CEO of Lincoln Memorial Hospital. “We have
many patients who want to have their surgeries performed here in
Lincoln, where they can benefit both from being closer to home and
from the great care we provide at LMH. With his arrival, wait times
for surgery at LMH will decrease and we will be able to accommodate
more patients.”
Memorial Specialty Care is Memorial Health’s specialty physician
group. The group is based in Decatur and includes more than 40
physicians in a variety of specialties.
Dr. Torabi earned his medical degree from American University of
Antigua before completing a residency in surgery at Sparrow Hospital
– Michigan State University. He served as a clinical instructor at
Michigan State University for five years before joining Memorial
Specialty Care.
