Obituary
Richard “Rick” Wayne Schneider, 67,
of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024,
at his home.
Rick was born on July 28, 1956, in Lincoln, the son
of William “Bill” Henry and Marilyn Josephine (Krznar)
Schneider. Rick married his high school sweetheart
Tena Marie Wright on July 30, 1977. She survives.
Rick is also survived by his mother Marilyn, three
sons Brad (Kim) Schneider of Lincoln, Eric (Matthew
Roche) Schneider of St. Louis, Chris (Shanna)
Schneider of Lincoln; his five grandchildren Grace,
Ella, Henry, Hinley and Ivy Schneider all of
Lincoln; one sister-in-law Bridget Schneider of
Lincoln and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two
brothers, Mike and Joe Schneider.
Rick led a simple life. He began his career as a
Mason his senior year of high school. A few years
later he established Schneider Masonry, leading it
for 30 years before passing it to his sons Brad and
Chris. He took pride in the many homes and
businesses he worked on and the ones he built.

He truly helped shape the Lincoln
Community over the years. He enjoyed fishing,
watching sports, taking his family on trips
(especially to the Ozarks), and caring for his yard
while enjoying an ice-cold Busch Light.
Although we grieve, our hearts are
lost in precious memories. We know his character of
hard work and love of his family built a strong
foundation for his beloved wife Tena, his sons, and
his grandchildren. We say goodbye with aching
hearts. May the heavenly Father welcome him and ease
our broken hearts.
A visitation for Rick will take place from 4 p.m. to
7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Rick’s name to the
donor’s charity of choice.
