Obituary

Stephanie Beth House, 70, passed away Friday, July 5th, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas, following a five-year battle with cancer.

She was a devoted daughter to her mother, Florence House of Addison, Texas, loving sister to brother, Randy House (Debbie) of Plano, Texas, and sister, Kimberly House of Pensacola, Florida. In addition, she is survived by nephews, Parker (Briana), Harrison (Traci), and Spencer House, nieces, Sarah Grace and Mary Catherine Lykins, great nephews Waylon and Henry, and great niece, Holland.

Born, December 28, 1953, in Lincoln to Florence and the late Mason House, Stephanie grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Community High School before attending and graduating from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Throughout life, she maintained and cherished childhood and college friendships. She spent many years in the family travel business in Lincoln before relocating with her parents to Addison, Texas, in the late 1990s.

For more than 25 years in Dallas, Stephanie worked for Strong Travel Services. As a travel agent, she cared deeply for her clients. Her job was much more to her than providing lasting travel memories. She took her clients’ joys and sorrows to heart. Additionally, prior to 2020, she was an evening and weekend receptionist for more than 20 years at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. She leaves behind many loving coworkers and friends.

Stephanie’s greatest joy in life were her nephews and nieces, and in recent years she delighted in the lives of her young great nephews and niece. All adored “Aunt Steph”. She loved family time, Christmas, a good April Fool’s Day joke, and football season.

Stephanie’s family thanks the entire Strong Family, her mother’s caregiver, Ann Oyediran, and most especially her very dear and loving friend, Lupe Pizeno.

Stephanie was a very loving, caring, person. Her passing leaves a great void in the life of all who knew her. She requested no visitation or service. Burial will be in Lincoln.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
