2024, at the White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center in White Hall. |

Obituary
Betty L. Stephenson, 77, of Clinton,
passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the White
Hall Nursing and Rehab Center in White Hall.
Graveside Services for Betty will be on Friday, July
19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery,
Waynesville, Illinois, with Mr. Maurice Stribling
officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
Betty Lou Fry was born in Carrollton, Illinois at
Boyd Memorial Hospital, the daughter of George and
Viola Gilbert Fry. She was united in marriage to
Clyde Stephenson on December 13, 1973. He preceded
her in death on February 21, 1996.
She is survived by her children: Roma McGowen, Betty
Jean Stephenson, CJ Stephenson, Barbara Tupper, and
CA Stephenson; her three sisters: Margaret Kirchner,
Ida Vickory, Barb Ratliff, Sue Baker; three
Brothers: Jonny Fry, Donald Fry, and Charlie Fry;
and fourteen grandchildren. |
She was preceded in death by one
daughter: Lisa Tipsword.
Betty was a home maker and attended the Waynesville
Christian Church. Her hobbies included writing
poetry and playing the piano and accordion.
Memorials may be made to the family to assist with
funeral services.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
