[July 22, 2024]  LINCOLN - Vera Wurth, 96, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Vera Wurth, 96, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Vera was born January 5, 1928, in Mt. Pulaski, the daughter of Albert and Louise (Wolf) Beccue. She married Eugene Wilson on December 14, 1946, in Missouri. Vera later married William Wurth on December 29, 1995, in Lincoln.

Vera is survived by her sons, Steven (Sandra), Michael (Rosie), and Curt Wilson; stepson, Stephen (Linda) Wurth; a stepdaughter, Cindy (Roger) Boerma; granddaughters, DeAnn (Joel) Vinson, Stephanie (Ryan) LaPlante, and Erin (Josh) Pancoast; grandsons, Matthew (Cindy) Wilson and Evan (Cassandra) Wilson; step-grandchildren, Craig Wurth, Brad (Amy) Wurth, Chad Wurth, Clint Wurth, Justin (Mary) Wurth, Erica Pollock, Christin Thomas, and LeAnn Boerma; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; stepson, Michael Wurth; and her five brothers, George, Lawrence, Arthur, Harold, and Edward Beccue. She was the last of her immediate family.

Services for Vera will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Vera’s name to Logan County Food Pantry.
