Pickleball lessons offered at the Scully Park Court next week

A popular activity going on at Scully Park this past weekend was Pickleball lessons.

Katie McCulley of Springfield offered Pickleball lessons to kids and adults Friday and Saturday on Scully’s Pickleball court. McCulley said she loves how much the sport has taken off.

In Springfield, McCulley said there are Morton building with multiple Pickleball courts. Several tennis courts have even been converted into pickleball courts.

After McCulley finished teaching lessons on Saturday, the winners of each match played one another. The group posed for a photo at the end of the matches.

Logan County Board member Jim Wessbecher said there will be two more Pickleball classes coming up. The first will be Wednesday, August 7 from 5-7 p.m. and the second will be Friday, August 9 from 1-3 p.m.

With all the activities going on Saturday, it was a great day to be in downtown Lincoln.
