School and a 1972 graduate of Southern Illinois
University in Carbondale. He graduated first in his
class in the school of analytics, finance, and

Eckert of Dillsburg, PA, and Jamie (Seth) Peacock of
Peoria, his six grandchildren: Tyler (Sarah) Musser

He was predeceased by one brother,
James Babbs, and brother in-law, Marvin Oltmanns.
The Eckert’s and Huskins’ family
lineages are long, and he had enumerable nieces,
nephews, cousins, and extended relatives. Bob is
also survived by his beloved poodle, “Oreo”.
Shy by nature, Bob enjoyed cooking,
fishing, reading, history, old time radio shows, and
traveling. He was extremely intelligent and witty
and took great pride in his children and
grandchildren. Despite his ailing health over the
last few years, he made every attempt to attend
family gatherings and activities. He will be dearly
missed by his family.
Funeral Service for Bob will be at 11 a.m. Monday,
June 3rd, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Visitation will be held one hour prior
