Obituary
Bradley Scott “Burrhead” Phillips,
69, of New Holland, formerly of Washington, PA,
passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024,
at Springfield Memorial Hospital surrounded by his
family.
Brad was born on November 10, 1954, in Washington,
PA, the son of the late Paul Edgar and Patty Lou
(Yeager) Phillips. He married Alison “Lorraine”
Voytek, his soulmate, love of his life, and mother
to their three boys, on August 7, 1982, in
Washington, PA.
Brad graduated in 1973 from McGuffey High School in
Washington, PA, where he played football,
basketball, and track & field. He loved playing in
Beer League softball until his boys were old enough
to pick up a bat, his role then changed from player
to coach. His passion for baseball was handed down
to all three of his boys, and now his grandkids.
His love of sports was not limited to any sport in
particular, it was however isolated to the Steel
City. He loved everything Pittsburgh, the Steelers,
Pirates, Penguins, Iron City Light, Isaly’s Chipped
Ham, and Shorty’s Hot Dog Sauce!
He enjoyed traveling (the back roads), camping, and
dancing with his wife to their favorite country
music. Above all else, Brad loved and adored his
grandkids.
