Obituary
udith A. Worth, 81, of Lincoln passed
away on Sunday, May 27, 2024, at her home.
Services for Judy will be held on Thursday, June 6,
2024. Visitation at the First United Methodist
Church of Lincoln will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed
by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Binu Peniel
will officiate.
Burial will be at Richmond Grove
Cemetery in New Holland, followed by a Celebration
of Judy’s Life at the Oasis Senior Center in
Lincoln.
Judith Ann Strawbridge was born on October 29, 1942,
in Red Bay, Alabama, the daughter of J.H. and
Christine Gist Strawbridge. She was united in
marriage to John O. Worth on March 17, 1971. He
preceded her in death on July 26, 2014.
She is survived by her children: Becky Carpenter,
Tina Carpenter Horton, Ronald Carpenter, and Kim
Olson; step-children: Brenda (Terry) Waber and
Justin (Yadi) Carpenter; special companion: Gary
Hinton; two sisters: Jeanette Pflager and Charlotte
Drent; two brothers: Frank Summers and Dan Summers;
grandchildren: Brandon (Jennifer) Bouthot, Mallory
(Clint) Garey, Sean (Laura) Horton, Garrett
(Samantha Green) Olson, Kavet (Liz) Olson, Jamie
VonderHeide, Drake Horton, Kaylee Carpenter,
Sebastian Carpenter, Lana Carpenter, and Dylan
Carpenter; great-grandchildren: Carli (Zach)
Bullock, Ashtin (Mary) Sylvester, Aayla, Lily,
Brody, Ellie, Brock, Hank, Maverick, McKenna, and
Tina; great-great-grandchildren: Brinley, Jacob, and
Aria; one brother-in-law: Ron Worth; and one
sister-in-law: Sandra Buttell. |
She was preceded in death by her
husband, parents, one brother: Randy Summers, and
one sister: Sheila Blankenbeckler.
Judy graduated from Odell High School
in 1960 and Flamingo Beauty College in Lincoln. She
was a beautician her entire life owning Fabulous
Hairstyles for many years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Lincoln. Her hobbies included flower
gardening and doing diamond dots.
Memorials may be made to either the Oasis Senior
Center or the First Methodist Church of Lincoln.
