I-55 Overpass at Broadwell (exit 119) to be closed starting June 1st

The bridge over I-55 at Broadwell will be closed for construction beginning June 1st. This bridge is located at Exit 119. Construction is expected to last until August 31st and no traffic will be allowed across the bridge during that time.

The entrance and exit ramps will remain open during most of the construction process. To cross the interstate, local traffic will be directed to the overpass bridges at Exit 123 near Lincoln or Exit 115 at Elkhart.

The project is part of the larger I-55 project and was awarded to United Contractors Midwest. IDOT is responsible for administration of the project.
