			Virginia "Ginny" A. Mitchell, 83, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, 
			June 3, 2024 at St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln. |

							Obituary 
							Virginia "Ginny" A. Mitchell, 83, of 
							Lincoln passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at St. 
							Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.
 A visitation for Virginia will be held on Friday, 
							June 7, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. at the 
							Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
 
 Cremation rites have been accorded.
 
 No Services are scheduled.
 
 Virginia Ann Thompson was born on December 6, 1940 
							in Hammond, Illinois the daughter of Andrew Jackson 
							and Leona Rose Barr Thompson. She was united in 
							marriage to Welby J. Mitchell in March , 1961. He 
							preceded her in death on May 31, 1988.
 
 She is survived by her children: Sarah Leah Larson, 
							James Wayne (Penny) Mitchell, William W. (Carol) 
							Mitchell, Gary Eugene (Carol) Mitchell, Candice 
							Renee (Wayne) Knoth. Twelve grandchildren and 
							fifteen great grandchildren.

							She was preceded in death by her 
							husband, parents, three sisters, two brothers, one 
							daughter: Juanita Bryant, one grandson Chadwick 
							Meade and one great granddaughter: Mable Audrine 
							Larson.
 She graduated from the Monticello High School in 
							1957. She had been employed at Walmart, R & R Cafe, 
							and the Dewitt County Nursing Home in Halsville.
 
 Her hobbies included playing Bingo, cooking and 
							reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with 
							her family and friends.
 
 Memorials may be made to the American Cancer 
							Society.
 
 Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
