Second Friday in Mt. Pulaski features a great Lil-O-Rodeo
 

[June 04, 2024]     The Community Association of Mt Pulaski, along with the City of Mt Pulaski, invites you and your family and friends to 2nd Friday on the Square in Mt Pulaski on Friday, June 14 from 5 pm until 10 pm (Jefferson St, Lafayette St and Cooke St). This month’s theme is Lil-O-Rodeo and Father’s Day.

The Community Association of Mt Pulaski, along with the City of Mt Pulaski, invites you and your family and friends to 2nd Friday on the Square in Mt Pulaski on Friday, June 14 from 5 pm until 10 pm (Jefferson St, Lafayette St and Cooke St). This month’s theme is Lil-O-Rodeo and Father’s Day.

The vendor market, including handmade crafts, antiques, direct sales, food, and more, opens at 5 pm. In addition, local businesses, including our restaurants and bars, will be open for business as well.

There will be live music and entertainment, as well as activities for all ages. June’s main attraction is a Lil-O-Rodeo, see schedule of activities below. Jason Bassett will perform on the main stage on Lafayette St beginning at 7 pm, sponsored by Mt Pulaski Economic Development Planning Board. You will find yard games for all ages, including giant Connect 4, checkers, tic-tac-toe, and giant Jenga at the Longview Community Bank tent.

Market on the Hill will host a cooking contest with judging beginning at 6:15 pm (check out Market on the Hill Facebook page or stop by the store for more information on how to participate).

Visit the Community Association of Mt Pulaski tent on the corner of Lafayette and Cooke streets where you can purchase tickets for a chance to win a Father’s Day Grilling Meat Basket, a fundraiser for a special event at Mt Pulaski’s Fall Festival in September.

• 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Vendors Market, Food Trucks, Yard Games, Photo Booth

• 6:15 p.m. - Cooking Contest Judging begins, hosted by Market on the Hill

• 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. - Music by Jason Bassett

Lil-O-Rodeo (Jefferson St)

• 5 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. - Lil-O-Rodeo Sign ups (for ages 9 years and under)

• 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – 8:30 pm Rodeo Displays, Demos, Games, Petting Zoo, Meet-n-Greets

• 6 p.m. - Cowboy Randy Performs

• 6:30 p.m. - Opening Ceremony

• 6:40 p.m. - Cutest Lil Cowboy/Cowgirl Contest (9 years and under)

• 7 p.m. - Grand Entry – Parade of participants

• 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Rodeo activities - barrel racing, pole bending, flag race, boot race, buckin’ bouncy bulls (9 years and under)

• 7:45 p.m. - Intermission performance by Cowboy Randy

The Lil-O-Rodeo is sponsored by Logan County Tourism Bureau and Rise Broadband. Rodeo schedule of activities is subject to change without notice. In the event of rain, no rain date will be offered. A signed release is required and a properly fitted helmet is recommended.
