[May 22, 2024]    The Village of New Holland will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2025. The big event is scheduled for June 6-7, 2025. A 150th anniversary book is being compiled.

The committee is inviting present and former residents of New Holland and Sheridan Township to write a short article about their time living in New Holland or Sheridan Township.

Some things to consider are:

  • What fond memory do you have about living in New Holland or Sheridan Township?

  • Was the foundation of your home constructed with concrete blocks made at the Concrete Block Factory in New Holland from 1914-1930?

  • Did you have any favorite business(es) you liked to shop? What made it unique?

  • Did you have a favorite restaurant? What was its specialty?

  • When school was out what activities did you find to fill your day?

  • How did you get to school – walk, horse, bus, or car?

With your personal input, the 150th anniversary book will be filled with memories of times past and present shared by you and brought to life.
