Jeffrey Lee "Jeff" Ihrer, 68, of Lincoln, passed away June 14, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Private family services will be held at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Jeff was born December 25, 1955, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Robert John Ihrer and Barbara Jean (Marshall) Ihrer. He married Deborah Sue Wampler on June 24, 1978, in Lincoln, IL. Jeff attended the University of Iowa. He managed R& H Farm Supply in Lincoln for many years and was a sub-contractor for Lowe's lighting department. Most Sundays he could be found in his chair with a homemade bowl of chili cheering on the Green Bay Packers. He loved to cook and loved having his family enjoy his food even more. Jeff had a very special relationship with each of his grandchildren. He attended every one of their sporting events. He never raised his voice unless it was to cheer on his grandkids. He was patient, loving, a very devoted husband and the best girl Dad out there. He did everything he could to make the lives of those he loved easier.

Survivors include his mother Barbara Ihrer, his loving wife Deborah Ihrer, his daughters Heather (Tony) Karrick and Kimberly (Brad) Schneider; and his grandchildren: Jett Karrick, Tate Karrick, and Jaxx Karrick, Grace Schneider, Ella Schneider, and Ivy Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Lawrence Ihrer.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ihrer Grandchildren Education Fund.
