Top-seeded Jannik Sinner of Italy notched a 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-3
win over Fabian Marozsan of Hungary in the second round in
Halle, Germany.
Sinner fired 12 aces and overcame two double faults to dismiss
Marozsan in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff held serve throughout the match in
upsetting sixth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece, 6-4, 6-4.
Struff converted two of three break-point opportunities.
Fifth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz of Poland posted a 7-6 (3), 6-4
victory over Australian qualifier James Duckworth, while
American Marcos Giron rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over
Matteo Berrettini of Italy.
