Obituary
Judith Ann Vincent, 83, of Lincoln
gained her angel wings and started dancing in Heaven
on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at OSF St. Joseph
Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Judy was born on May 30, 1941, in Lincoln to Harry
and Lois Sank. She married Marvin Vincent in 1961.
He preceded her in death on April 17, 1981. She
missed him every day since then and could not wait
for the day when she could see him again.
Judy was a wild one that could not be tamed. She
drew people in with her fun and crazy personality.
She could make you smile and laugh just with her
presence - hence why she had so many friends. Judy
would cross oceans for those she loved.
Judy loved Jesus, going to church, her church
family, all of her nieces and nephews, sweet tea,
traveling to see friends and family, going out to
eat, and so much more. Above all else, she lived for
her daughter, son, granddaughters, and great
grandkids. None of them went a day without their
good morning text from mom/grandma. Judy would walk
through fire for them, and everyone knew it. She
never missed a birthday “spaghetti dinner” party, a
WLB basketball game, or a Lincoln youth football
game.
Judy was so special to every single person who knew
her and had a way of making each person feel so
special too. |
She leaves behind her daughter, Diana
Barlow; son and daughter-in-law, Brian (Valerie)
Vincent; granddaughters, Madison (Clint) Awe,
Ashleigh (Matt) Flynn, Alexandra Flynn, and Brook
Vincent; great-grandchildren, McClane, Crew, and
Aggie Awe, Matthew and Kinsley Carver, as well as
several grand-dogs and grand-cats. Judy also leaves
behind many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Judy could not wait to be reunited with her husband,
Marv; her parents; brothers, Don and Carl;
sisters-in-law, Helen and June; her nephews, Mike
Druien, Danny Druien, and Gene Vincent; mom and dad
Vincent; and many more special friends.
Services for Judy will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday,
July 1, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two
hours prior from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. also at the
funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Judy’s name to the American
Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Logan
County.
