- Josephine “Jo” Anderson, 82, of Lincoln passed away
on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in
Springfield.

Obituary
Josephine “Jo” Anderson, 82, of
Lincoln passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024,
at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Jo was born on August 9, 1941, in Lincoln, the
daughter of John & Dorothy (Charles) Sahorsky. She
married Kenneth “Speed” Anderson on December 3,
2004.
Jo is survived by her husband; her son, Lee Reed;
her daughter, Vicki Reed; her stepsons, Keith
Anderson and Kevin Anderson; her four grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; one
brother; and one grandson.
Jo was a volunteer at The Pink Shutter for many
years. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Logan
County Food Pantry. Jo started her career at Lehn &
Fink when she was just 18 years old, and she retired
the year they closed in 1996. She enjoyed spending
her free time solving crossword puzzles. |
Cremation rites have been entrusted
to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Jo’s name to The
American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of
Logan County.
