Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Service: 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Norma Arlene Hamilton, 83, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away February 24, 2024.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. and burial will follow services in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery.

Arlene was born May 25, 1940, in Mt. Pulaski, the daughter of Frank Benjamin and Irene (Sargeant) Shanle. She married Billy Joe Hamilton on May 21, 1966. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2010.

She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church. Arlene enjoyed being a farm wife, gardening, and was a beautician for many years.

 

Survivors include her daughter Linda Scott (Tim); grandchildren Kolin Schurter, Lindsay Winkler, Kristen Harris, Taylor Kaltenbach, and Tyler Kaltenbach; great grandchildren, Jase Winkler, Garrett Winkler, Ava Winkler, Kinsley Harris; brother Wayne Shanle, sisters Darlene Kay Hickey and Patricia DePoister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Lynnette Kaltenbach, and brother Franklin Shanle.

Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson Street Christian Church or to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
