[March 01, 2024]  HARTSBURG - Larry A. Aper, 77, of Hartsburg passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.

Obituary

Larry A. Aper, 77, of Hartsburg passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.

Larry was born February 20, 1947, in Lincoln, the son of Harold and Ruby (Knollenberg) Aper. He married Nancy Conklen on December 6, 1975, in Mason City. She survives.

Larry is also survived by his son, Dirk (Ashley) Aper of Hartsburg; grandchildren, Madison Aper of Morton, and Devin and Rylan Aper of Hartsburg; and his sister, Cheryl (Robert) Swords of Elmhurst.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Brad Aper.

 

Larry proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg as well as the Farm Bureau. Larry enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball and antique cars.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to Hartsburg-Emden Junior High Boys’ Sports or the Hartsburg-Emden FFA.
