[March 04, 2024]  LINCOLN - Antoinette “Ann” Martha Holloway, 104, of Lincoln, entered Heaven on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Antoinette “Ann” Martha Holloway, 104, of Lincoln, entered Heaven on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Ann was born June 2, 1919, the daughter of Frank and Maria (Icona) Mattera in Rochelle. She married Chester Holloway on April 25, 1936, in Rochelle. They had two children, Richard and Phyllis Holloway.

Ann was a member of the Lincoln Christian Church, the Jolly Seniors, Lincoln Women’s Club, and a life member of the Oasis Senior Center. Ann loved fishing and camping. She enjoyed traveling and visiting friends. Ann never met a stranger or hesitated to give her opinion.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester; parents; daughter, Phyllis Rhoades; son, Richard Holloway; infant son; her granddaughter, Martha Rhoades; great-grandson, Chance Vincent; two brothers, Veto and Frank Matera; and one sister, Nicolette Caster.

 

Ann is survived by four grandchildren, Craig (Mona) Rhoades of Pawnee, Jim (Stephanie) Rhoades of Pawnee, Michelle Holloway of Lincoln, and Jerry Richard Holloway. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Danny Rhoades of Springfield, Rebecca Rhoades of Chicago, Melanie Rhoades of Pawnee, Christine Abell of Chatham, Donnie Rhoades of Chatham, Amanda Roher of Springfield, Destiny Vincent of Lincoln, Les Vincent of Lincoln, and Brandon Aper of Wentzville, MO. Twelve great-great-grandchildren survive.

Services for Ann will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Graveside services for Ann will be held at 2 p.m. following the service at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to The Oasis Senior Center, Lincoln.
