The Honeybears defeated Springfield Blessed
Sacrament 25-23 and 25-18 to claim the regional championship in
Springfield on Thursday night.
Blessed Sacrament was the defending state champion in 7th grade.
Great win, Honeybears!
Olivia Smith led Mount Pulaski with 15 kills. Ella Martin added
11 kills. That’s quite a duo of powerful hitters for Mount
Pulaski.
Mariah Stone received the IESA Sportsmanship Award for the
Honeybears.
Mount Pulaski (14-9) will play Decatur Montessori Academy for
Peace (14-4) on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. for the
sectional championship.
The game will be played at Decatur St. Teresa High School.
