[March 12, 2024]  All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari announced the end of his 11-season run with the Green Bay Packers on Monday.

"I gave it my all. I always gave it my best no matter the circumstance and to me, that truly was enough," he posted on X. .".. For whatever happens next, I look forward to it. To the city and fans all across the world, I just want to say thank you."

There was no official word from the Packers on Bakhtiari's release as of 1 p.m. ET Monday. The oft-injured 32-year-old veteran was due to earn a $20.2 million base salary with a $40 million cap hit in 2024, per Spotrac. His dead-cap hit is $19.1 million.

A two-time first-team All-Pro (2018, 2020) and three-time Pro Bowl selection while protecting former quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind side for a decade, Bakhtiari played only one game last season due to a recurring knee injury.

Bakhtiari played only 13 of Green Bay's 51 regular-season games from 2021-23. He started all 131 of his games with the team since being drafted in the fourth round in 2013.
