[March 18, 2024]

The 2024 Lincoln Railers softball team has a lot of new faces in the lineup this season and some new uniforms that look really sharp.

With senior Taryn Stoltzenburg and junior Faith Eckhardt the only upperclassmen on the team, the team is very young. However, many of the girls are involved in summer travel ball and that is a positive note. Also the future of the softball program looks really good with two outstanding freshman pitchers, Madisen Wurth and Regan Kutz, already pitching at the Varsity level.

And how about those new uniforms? The uniforms feature white pinstriped jerseys with green lettering and when matched with the green pants and red belts and red socks, they are the best-looking uniforms of the Central State Eight Conference.

The only thing missing so far this season is a win.

Lincoln is currently 0-3 to start the season but the girls will be looking for their first win tonight when they travel to Springfield to take on Sacred Heart-Griffin at 4:30 p.m.
