[March 19, 2024]    With the Railsplitters bats as cold as the early morning temperatures on Tuesday, the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones defeated Lincoln 7-2 at Mike Curry Field.

Lincoln had just four hits on the afternoon, with Colbie Glenn, Jarrett Evers, Drew Hayes and Ashton Corley each recording base hits.

Lincoln scored a run in the bottom of the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Brenden Wurth.

The Cyclones tied the game in the top of the third inning and took a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning.

Glenn added an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning.

A four-run sixth inning proved to be too much for the Railsplitters to overcome.

The Cyclones shut down the Railsplitters bats the remainder of the game and handed Lincoln a 7-2 loss.

Wyatt Mammen started the game for Lincoln and he worked two and one-third innings, allowing a run on one hit. He walked four and struck out one.

Colbie Glenn pitched three and one-third innings and took the loss. Glenn allowed six runs on six hits and struck out two batters.

Ashton Corley and Michael Lucas each pitched in relief at the end of the game. Corley tossed one-third of an inning, walking two batters. Lucas pitched an inning, striking out two batters.

Lincoln will host Dunlap on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Carson Clyde Fuiten is scheduled to be on the mound versus Dunlap.
