			 WLB
students and faculty participated in slime day April 30, 2024.
Stations were set up for students to make their own slime. Each
station had bowls and spatulas and students were instructed on the
slime making process. They got to choose from two colors “Calla
Spark” or “Calla Glow.” Both options glow in the dark. Calla Spark
has hot pink glitter and is scented with a warm amber scent. Calla
Glow has blue rocks and is scented with a gentle rain scent.

Calla Woods started Look Out For The Left Out in
2019, when she was in third grade to support at risk children in
Romania. Calla had a dream to serve with Forget Me Not ministries.
Early in the summer of 2019 Calla was diagnosed with a rare brain
cancer. She fought for eight weeks before she was taken Home by her
			King.

Her parents, Ben and Crystal Woods travel to schools
teaching Calla’s message that you don’t have to be a grown up to
change the world. They have visited more than 70 schools with that
message and have made slime with over a dozen groups of kids now.

Bethany Rademaker, Vice president of the WLB PTO said
that this activity helps teach empathy, compassion, kindness, and
inclusion and that WLB was proud to bring those qualities to the
kids in our community. A family slime party is planned for Tuesday
			evening at WLB.

Proceeds from the sale of slime and merchandise go to
fund “Casa Calla”, in Romania, a special project for at risk teens.
