Lincoln’s only run came in the bottom of the
fourth inning. Drew Hayes and Griffin Shaw each singled. Hayes
was able to steal second and advance to third on the single by
Shaw. An error by the catcher allowed Hayes to score the only
run for Lincoln.
Clinton tallied two more runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Colbie Glenn’s double in the bottom of the fifth inning left him
stranded on second when the inning ended.
The Railsplitters did have two walks and a single in the bottom
of the seventh inning but could not score.
Parker Graue took the loss for Lincoln. He worked an inning,
allowing six hits and two earned runs. He walked one.
Colbie Glenn pitched six innings in relief. He allowed two hits
and one earned run. He walked two and struck out seven.
Glenn led Lincoln at the plate. He was 2-for-4.
Michael Lucas, Drew Hayes and Griffin Shaw each had one hit for
Lincoln.
Lincoln will host Rantoul today at 4:30 p.m. at Mike Curry
Field.
The Railsplitters are now 15-8 on the season.
