Lincoln shuts out Rantoul 10-0
Parker Graue tosses complete game

The
Lincoln Railsplitters rattled the bats early on Monday afternoon at
Mike Curry Field, defeating the Rantoul Eagles 10-0 behind a
complete game performance from Parker Graue.
Graue worked six innings, allowing just four hits and one walk. He
struck out two batters.
Lincoln scored three runs in the first inning on four hits.
Colbie Glenn opened the game with a single and a stolen base. Glenn
scored on a double by Michael Lucas. Lucas would eventually score on
a passed ball. Brenden Wurth singled in the inning and he advanced
to second on a wild pitch and came around to score on a double by
Trey Schilling.
Lincoln put up a trio of runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Karson Komnick and Parker Graue had singles in the inning. Lucas
added another double to drive in a run. Evers hit a run-scoring
sacrifice fly and Tate Johnston scored on a wild pitch.
Lincoln scored a run in the bottom of the fourth inning courtesy of
a sacrifice fly by Drew Hayes, increasing the score to 7-0.

Evers hit a two-run single in the bottom of the
fifth inning as the Railsplitters extended their lead.
Two walks and a single to left by Glenn was just enough offense for
Lincoln to end the game early in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Glenn drove in Schilling with the final run of the game and Lincoln
won by a final score of 10-0.
The Railsplitters had 13 hits versus the Eagles.
Trey Schilling had a great day at the plate. He was
3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Colbie Glenn, Michael Lucas and Brenden Wurth each had two hits.
Jarrett Evers, Griffin Shaw, Karson Komnick and Parker Graue had one
hit apiece.
Lincoln improved their record to 16-8 on the season.
The Railsplitters will host Decatur MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. today.
