Farmers Market Opens May 11

The
LMH Market will open for its ninth season with family fun and fresh
produce. Visitors can enjoy free face painting, balloon art, a
bounce house and special guest Harvey, the mini cow. Lincoln
Memorial Hospital president and CEO Dolan Dalpoas will open The
Market at 8 a.m. The media is invited to attend.

WHERE: Logan County Fairgrounds Expo Building, 1408 Short Eleventh
St., Lincoln
BACKGROUND: The LMH Market will provide access to fresh and local
produce every Saturday from May 11 to Sept. 21. The Market offers
activities for people of all ages, including free health screenings,
cooking demonstrations and children’s programming, which features
the Power of Produce Club for kids ages 5-12.

Vendors at The LMH Market offer
fruits, vegetables, eggs, beef, pork, poultry, baked goods,
honey and more.
Shoppers enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program (SNAP), which supplements the grocery budgets of
families in need, may use a Link card to purchase food items.
The Market offers SNAP matching for Link card holders every
Saturday. That match is tripled every third Saturday of the
