Lincoln defeats North Mac 8-2
Jarrett Evers hits three-run home run

The
Railsplitters used a five-run sixth inning to put away the North Mac
Panthers 8-2 on Friday afternoon.
Lincoln was able to take a 2-0 lead over the Panthers in the second
inning when Drew Hayes scored on a passed ball and Karson Komnick
hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Trey Schilling.
In the bottom of the third inning the Panthers tied the game 2-2.
Jarrett Evers had the big hit of the game with one swing in the top
of the sixth inning. Evers hit a three-run home run to right field,
scoring Colbie Glenn and Michael Lucas. Lincoln scored twice more in
the inning on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
Lincoln added a run in the top of the seventh inning when Glenn
turned a walk into a run. Glenn stole second after getting the free
base and he scored on an error by the pitcher.

Drew Hayes was the winning pitcher in the 8-2
victory. Hayes pitched the final four innings, allowing four hits
and zero runs. He walked one and struck out one.
Tate Johnston started the game and lasted two innings. Johnston
allowed three hits and two runs. He walked three and struck out one.
Colbie Glenn got the call for middle relief. Glenn threw one inning
and allowed one hit.
Lincoln had just two hits on the day, the home run by Evers and a
single by Brenden Wurth.
Lincoln improved to 20-8 on the season.
