Lincoln Public Library kicks off
150th year with special program Saturday, May 18th

This
year is the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Lincoln Public
Library, established in 1874.
The LPL Board of Trustees and library staff are inviting all
residents of Lincoln to join us in this celebration!
During the sesquicentennial year a series of programs will be
hosted.
The first program will be held on Saturday May 18 at 2:00 pm in the
Annex. Bill Donath, a local historian, who will provide a
presentation highlighting the history of the library. The Annex
entrance is accessible from the alley.

Additional programs are
being planned for this summer and fall. Programs will include
guided tours of the Carnegie building and a formal reception to
be held at the Carnegie this year.
Additional programs will be announced at a later date.
